There are dirt bike paths all around the Ring, which can be walked or cycled. A mountain bike is adviseable.

You can hire a mountain bike from this place. From the Breidscheid exit, turn right and it is on the right-hand side not long after the petrol station.

Prices are €13/day, plus €5/day for a helmet if you don't have your own. You can also hire road bikes for €10.50/day.

A couple of bikes are also available for hire from the Hotel an der Nordschleife: turn left out of the Breidscheid exit, and take the first left, after the fast food bar. Finally, there is a rental place in Zermüllen here.
